The art of Dutch artist Handiedan involves a complex cut and paste mixture of digital and highly detailed sculptural hand cut collages, complimented with augmented reality and conscientiously collected antique ornamental frames.
Handiedan’s accomplished and refined mixed media techniques allows her for an artistic journey through past, present and future. The result is an almost kaleidoscopical visual exploration whose discoveries are sometimes immediately visible and sometimes hidden in plain sight.
With a background in photographic design (graduated), illustration and graphic design (self taught) from 2002-2007, Handiedan started working as a mixed media artist in 2007.
Her mixed media artwork has been shown throughout the world including her (sold-out) solo shows, group shows and art fairs with Corey Helford Gallery, Jonathan LeVine Projects, Roq la Rue, Thinkspace Gallery, Spoke Art/Hashimoto Contemporary, Phone Booth Gallery, Black Book Gallery, Scope, Project Miami in the US, Saatchi and Unit 44 in the UK.
